Backup Solution -
Displaced Veritas backup software with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager. Architected and deployed TSM on 3 data centers in three different cities backing up over 100TB of changed data daily. Solution is 100% LAN based and uses 7 IBM P550 servers, DS8000 and LT04 storage hardware. Reduced overhead costs and improved backup and restore times while improving customer satisfaction.
Backup Solution, Disaster Recovery Site - Displaced Veritas with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). Architected a backup solution across multiple data centers to backup a total of 4TB of data on a daily basis. Included in this architecture was the deployment of a disaster recovery site 1200 miles away with nightly replication of 12TB of data per day. The solution runs on 6 IBM P550 servers running 14 instances of TSM backing up to DS8000/DS4800 storage and TS3500 libraries. Currently maintaining the operations of the backup environment with multiple resources onsite and remotely.
Central Management of Storage infrastructure, SAN Fabrics, Capacity Management - Implementing IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center (TPC) across multiple state agencies. Responsible for the installation of TPC servers, agents and daily operations for the product. This solution is helping the state consolidate their storage infrastructure and reduce maintenance and overhead costs.
